Romeo and Juliet
I detest Romeo and Juliet. I mean detest it with a passion. Absolutely boring, not "the greatest love story of all time!", only a handful of characters are actually decent and enjoyable and they're not the main characters. Just run and flee from it. PLEASE run!Any English teachers, English professors, or anyone who will be teaching this, and is on this site, I'm speaking directly to you: PLEASE stop making students read this anywhere past two times in school. I'm speaking from experience of having to read this terribly awful story six times from 6th through 12th. It's over rated, over read, and overly done. Spare your students and give them Twelfth Night or Othello or something they might enjoy from Shakespeare. Your students who hate this book will love you for it.
